I had the pleasure to work with Justice Gray on her newly released audio book ” Cashing out Death”, and she was kind enough to stop by and share with us more about herself and her writing.
Justice, did you always want to be a writer?
“Yes, I have always wanted to be a writer since I read my first adult novel, which was Jane Eyre when I was in 5th grade.”
You say in your autobiography that you find inspiration from real life events, what drives you to find and write about these kind of stories?
“I look at other people and the things they do and the situations they get themselves in, and I can predict the ending. Sometimes it seems weird, as I know how their story is going to end before it gets to that point.”
Can you tell the readers what Gretchen’s story is all about?
“Gretchen has learned through her own experience that men are worthless, and has chosen her lifestyle of drinking, smoking, and gambling. She loses her house, and sells her belongings to support her habits, all leading to destruction of self and others.”
Tell us more about the Garbage Collectors Series?
“The Garbage Collector Series is a series of ten books that are all based off of real-life characters and events in their lives.”
Gretchen’s story is one of addiction, greed and so much loss, what do you want readers to walk away with after reading this book?
“That is isn’t worth gambling everything away to support one’s addiction as it destroys relationships including with close family members, and one can end up with nothing in the end.”
What other projects do you currently have in the works?
“I am currently working on a two-part novel, with the working title The Story of Barry which is based off a real person who has multiple personalities by design.”
Justice, having narrated this book, I found the end absolutely shocking, it was a thriller of a book, and quite enjoyed narrating it. Where can readers find your audio and kindle books?
“The books are available on Amazon in paperback, Kindle, and audio format. The other books are available in these formats on Amazon as well.”
Thank you for taking time to share with us your newly released audio book “Cashing out Death, Gretchen’s Story”. It was an honor to work with you on this project.
“Thank you. I enjoyed listening to it as it made the story come even more alive than the written work.”
