I think my biggest lesson I have learned this year is not to take on more work that I am capable of doing. Getting work as a VO actor is HUGE, so when you get a offer, you never want to say no, every job counts. I have been fortunate enough to have done 30 audiobooks this year in addition to several web commercials and animations. I have enjoyed every piece of work I have gotten, but I realized, that sometimes, it important to say no, If you don’t and you get overwhelmed, the only thing that will suffer is the quality of your work. So my number one piece of advice for actors out there, is to be real with yourself, and what your limitations are to get a project completed. Thankfully I mastered the art of time management this year, and can’t wait to do even more audiobooks, and more voice over work this coming year. I do have a huge book coming out in the first couple of weeks in the new year, and will keep you updated on that release.
The majority of the work I have done has been narration and I can not thank my authors enough for giving me the chance to bring their work to life. They are fantastic reads and each author has poured their heart and soul on each page, bringing their stories to a level of unparallelled story telling. My deepest gratitude is sent to them for giving me the opportunity to work with them and work with such talent individuals. Please support these authors and their amazing work!
I look forward to bringing more content and videos to this page to make it more interactive in the coming year. If you are looking for an VO actor for your project, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org with any question you may have.
I wish everyone a safe and Happy Holiday Season!
